@Chicago.com – create a “send as @chicago.com” in gmail

Open your gmail account in any browser (Chrome for this demonstration).

Go to “Gear” > Settings  (settings – upper right)

Select “ Accounts and Import”

Select “Add another mail account”

Add your @chicago.com email name

Import emails from my other account (POP3)

Add specific information:

  • Your @chicago.com username
  • Your @chicago.com password (from Office365)
  • POP server: outlook.office365.com
  • Port: 995
  • Check – Always use a secure connection… (Office365 requires)
  • Check – Label incoming messages: your@chicago.com email address

“Add Account”



Enter your “Display” name (M. Vanity Name)

Turn OFF – Treat as alias. (Office365 is your vanity email carrier)

Add SMTP (Send) credentials:

  • SMTP Server: smtp.office365.com port 587
  • Username: myemail@chicago.com
  • Password: My @chicago.com (Office365) password
  • Check – Secured connection using TLS (Office365 required)

“Add Account”

Verify (from email you received to your @chicago.com forwarded address).

Close Window.


When you “Compose” and email now, you will see a “From” option to send from @gmail or @chicago.com
