When you provide information in that way, the information you submit may be used by the third party in any way that it chooses, including to market to you, or to disclose to others. Information that is collected automatically: This is the information that we collect without your having to affirmatively provide it to us or to a third party while you are connected (i.e., accessing, using or navigating) to a Website. It includes:
Cookies and other electronic technologies: When you access and navigate the Websites, there are cookies and similar technologies that collect information that we and/or our Service Providers use to understand your navigation and use of the Websites and to provide you with information, more relevant advertising and a better user experience. This includes our use of persistent and session cookies and other similar tracking technologies to do the following: store your username and password, monitor and analyze the usage of our Websites, customize the Websites to your explicit and inferred preferences, and customize advertising displayed by the Websites, third party websites and/or mobile applications. We, along with our Service Providers, may also use other Internet technologies, such as Flash technologies, Web beacons, pixel tags, and mobile ‘SDKs’ which function like a mobile version of a browser cookie and are embedded in mobile applications. We may include Web beacons in email messages, newsletters and other electronic communications to determine whether a message has been opened or read and for other analytics, personalization and advertising. As technologies evolve, we may gather additional information through other means not referenced above.
We may also help third parties place their own cookies on your device(s) which would permit advertising and other content to be directed to you on other websites, applications or services.
“Cookies” and local storage are small files containing a string of characters that is sent to your computer’s or device’s browser and stored on your device that uniquely identifies the browser you are using when you visit a website. Many major Web services use cookies to provide useful features for their users. Each website can send, set and then access its own cookie on your browser. Most browsers automatically accept cookies. To change this, you can set your browser settings to decline cookies. If you do that, you may not be able to sign in, customize, or use some of the features of the Websites, and the advertisements and content you see may not be as relevant to you. Also, limiting or blocking third-party cookies through your browser settings may not be effective and you may not be able to avoid all first- or third-party advertising or content. Some cookies and technologies (including those we and/or third parties may use) may not respond to these browser settings. If you clear all cookies on your browser at any point after setting your browser to refuse all cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent, you will have to again reset your browser to refuse all cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent.
Our use of cookies includes analytics and performance cookies, service cookies, functionality cookies, social media cookies, and targeted and advertising cookies.
Read our Cookie Policy.
Pixel Tags: We also use “pixel tags,” which are small graphic files that allow us and third parties to monitor the use of the Websites and collect data related to your use ad navigation of the Websites. A pixel tag can collect information such as the IP address of the computer or other device that downloaded the page on which the tag is embedded; the URL of the page on which the pixel tag is embedded; the time (and length of time) the page containing the pixel tag was viewed; the type of browser that retrieved the pixel tag; and the identification number of any cookie previously placed by that server on your computer.
We use pixel tags, either our own or those of third-parties, Service Providers and ad networks, to collect information about your visit, including the pages you view, the links you click and other actions taken in connection with our Websites and products and services. We and third parties use pixel tags in combination with cookies to provide offers and information that may be of interest to you. Pixel tags also enable ad networks to serve targeted advertisements to you when you visit the Websites or other websites.
Log Files: A log file records events that occur in connection with your use of the Websites.
In addition, we use a variety of other technologies that collect information for security and fraud detection purposes essential to the operation of our Websites and business.
You can also find more information about cookies and how they work, what cookies have been set on your computer or mobile device and how to manage and delete them here.
App Technologies, Customization, and Usage: There are a variety of tracking technologies that may be included in our apps that allow us to collect information about your installation, use, and updating of our apps as well as information about your device, including your unique device identifier (“UDID”) and other technical identifiers. More specifically, these tracking technologies allow us to collect data about your device and your use of our apps, the pages, videos, other content, or ads you see or click on during your visit and when and for how long you do so, and items you download. These tracking technologies are not browser-based like cookies and cannot be controlled by browser settings. For example, our apps may include third party SDKs, which is code that sends information about your use to a server, and is in effect the app version of a pixel. These SDKs allow us to track our conversions and communicate with you across devices, bring you advertising both on and off the Websites, customize the app to your interests and preferences and link such across platforms and devices, and provide you with additional functionality, such as the ability to connect our Website with your social media account.
Device/usage information: This refers to information about the computer, phone or other device you use to access the Websites. For example, we or third parties may collect and analyze information such as (a) IP addresses, elements from your device’s browser, such as JavaScript objects and installed fonts, geolocation information (described below), unique device identifiers including mobile advertising identifiers and other information about your phone or other mobile device(s), browser types, browser language, operating system, the state or country from which you accessed the Websites; and (b) information related to the ways in which you interact with the Websites, such as the website you navigated to or from to get to or leave the Websites, platform type, how you navigated through the Websites, your interaction with advertisements, domain names, landing pages, content viewed, the date and time you accessed the Websites, the frequency of your use of the Websites, error logs, search criteria and results, and other similar information. In some cases, this information will be associated with a unique identifier for our use and use by third parties, in which case your unique identifier will be considered our information, and nothing in this Privacy Policy restricts how we may use this information. Mobile information obtained through a text message campaign will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Location information: We may collect different types of information about your location, both generally (e.g., IP address, ZIP code) and more specifically (e.g., through GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other location-aware technologies when you enable location-based services through your device or you provide it to us. We and/or third parties may use that information for purposes such as verifying your device’s location and delivering or restricting relevant information and advertising based on that location. We and/or third parties may also customize the content displayed on the Websites with location-based information, advertising, and features. For example, if your IP address shows that you are connecting from downtown Chicago, the Websites may display information and advertisements specific to downtown Chicago.
You can disable the GPS or other location-tracking functions on most devices if you do not want your device to provide location-tracking information to us or third parties. See your device manufacturer’s instructions for further details.
Embedded video player: We use the unbranded version of the YouTube embedded video player (“YouTube Player”) to display some of our YouTube video content in our Websites. YouTube may collect usage data when you use, interact or engage with the YouTube Player in our Websites. You can read about Google’s Privacy Policy as it relates to the YouTube Player here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy.
Information obtained from third parties: We may obtain additional information about you from third parties such as Services Providers, advertisers, marketers, partners, researchers, data analytics companies, social networks and others, and you may be able to access our social media through your accounts on those platforms (e.g., Facebook). For example, if you log into your account through a third-party social media site, we may have access to certain information from that site, such as your name, email address, account information, photo and friends lists, and other information in accordance with the authorization procedures determined by such social media site. If you don’t want a social network to collect the information about you as described above, or you don’t want a social network to share it with us, please review the privacy policy, privacy settings and instructions of the applicable social network before you visit and use our Websites. We may take the information we have collected about you and/or others and combine it with any information we have.
Collection of information across personal devices and applications: We or third parties may use the information that you provide or that is collected automatically and correlate it with information to identify the same user across multiple browsers or devices (such as smartphones, tablets, or computers), or work with providers that do this.
We likewise may work with platform providers who serve advertising across devices. For instance, we may want to reach our web-based customers when they are on their mobile devices. This is done, generally, by correlating common attributes (such as IP addresses, other browser or device information or hashed email addresses) across devices, to infer a common identity across multiple channels. To opt-out of this type of advertising, you can do so by opting out of each separate device or browser.
Linked Websites: The Websites may contain links to third-party websites, for example if you want to donate your car or other property or apply for a position with us. These websites will collect personal information that you provide and may provide some or all of that information to us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those third-party websites or their collection, use or handling of your information.

If you consent to our accessing the contacts list from your device, we will collect your contacts’ names and contact information. We will not use or store contact list information for any other purposes. If you consent to the linking of your account with a third-party service (like a Facebook account) to access your friends list, we will collect your friends’ names.
We also aggregate or anonymize information that we collect into formats or data sets that do not identify you. We use aggregated information about visitors to our Websites and share it with our Service Providers and third parties, such as how many people visited a particular page or activity, the average age of visitors to the Websites, or their likes and dislikes. We also obtain other demographic information from third parties to improve our products and services, for marketing purposes or to display more relevant advertising.
This helps us better understand our users’ interests and preferences, the performance and administration of the Websites and information relevant to the advertising displayed on the Websites. OUR USE OF ONLINE ANALYTICS AND TARGETED ADVERTISING
Online analytics: We may use third-party analytics and data services on or in connection with our Websites, such as those provided by Google Analytics. These third parties use technology like that described above to analyze how users navigate to and use the Websites. They evaluate your use of the Websites and measure the effectiveness of ads that may be displayed, and help us, for example, to improve the functioning and user-experience provided by the Websites. This information (including your IP address) will be disclosed to and/or collected by these third parties.
Tailored advertising: We also use third-party analytics and data services such as Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel and similar technologies, in relation to directing advertising to users, including serving you with ads or other information based in whole or in part on the data described above. These ads may be based on your current activity or your activity over time and may be tailored to your interests based on information we or third parties have collected and/or have received from other sources.
Also, third parties, including without limitation those whose products or services are accessible or advertised on or through the Websites, may place cookies or other tracking technologies on your computer browser, mobile phone applications, or other device to collect information about your use of the Websites. We also allow third parties (e.g., ad networks and ad servers such as Google AdSense, DoubleClick, Meta, and others) to serve tailored ads to you on the Websites, and to access the cookies or other tracking technologies they may have placed on your computer, mobile phone, or other device used to access the Websites so that customized ads may be delivered to you when you are using other websites and mobile applications. We also may disclose to third parties an actual or hashed version of your email address which may be used by a third party to deliver tailored advertising on the Websites, other websites, and/or mobile applications.
We have no control or access to, nor does this Privacy Policy govern, the use of cookies or other tracking technologies that may be placed on your computer, mobile phone, or other device used to access the Websites by third parties, third party ad technology, ad servers, ad networks or any other third parties, except for those that we have specifically contracted with to provide services to us and where those contracts give us such control and access.
Third parties (e.g., Google, Meta) that use these technologies may offer you a way to opt-out of ad targeting as described below. Please note that to the extent advertising technology is integrated into the Websites, you may still receive advertisements even if you opt-out of tailored advertising. In that case, the ads will not be tailored.

Among the things that we consider in determining the applicable retention periods are the following:
- The length of time that we have had an ongoing business relationship with you (e.g., the length of time that you have been a subscriber or have had an account with us or have been accessing or using our products or services);
- Retention periods set pursuant to applicable laws; and/or

California Do-Not-Track disclosure requirements: We are committed to providing you with meaningful choices about the information collected on our Websites for third-party purposes, and that would refer you to the Network Advertising Initiative’s Consumer Opt-out procedure, Digital Advertising Alliance’s Consumer Opt-Out procedure, TrustArc’s Advertising Choices page, and the Google opt-out procedure information. However, we may not recognize or respond to browser-initiated Do Not Track signals, as the Internet industry is currently still working on Do Not Track standards, implementations and solutions.
Right to Know and to Delete: If you are a California resident, you may have the right to delete the personal information we have collected from you and the right to know certain information about our data practices in the preceding 12 months. In particular, you may have the right to request the following from us:
- The categories of personal information we have collected about you;
- The categories of sources from which the personal information was collected;
- The categories of personal information about you we disclosed for a business purpose or sold;
- The categories of third parties to whom the personal information was disclosed for a business purpose or sold;
- The business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling the personal information; and

Right to Opt-Out: California residents may opt out of the “sale” of their personal information and “sharing” of their personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes (as those terms are defined by applicable law).
We sell and share certain of your information to third parties to provide you with offers and promotions and opportunities that may be of interest to you. Advertising, including targeted advertising, enables us to provide you with certain content for free and allows us and our partners to provide you with offers relevant to you.
See the Section of this Privacy Policy labeled, “How To Exercise These Rights” above for instructions on submitting a request to opt-out. You may also turn on the Global Privacy Control to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information that is browser-based for each participating browser system that you use. If you do not have an account with us or you access the Websites without logging in, your GPC signal will be linked to your browser identifier only and may not be linked to other personal information, such as account information, about you that we process that is not associated with your browser identifier. If we receive a GPC signal from you, we may offer you the option to provide additional information to help facilitate your opt-out request. We may also notify you if an opt-out preference signal we receive from you conflicts with your privacy settings or participation in certain programs we offer, and request your consent to sales or processing of personal information for targeted advertising or to affirm your intent to withdraw from any relevant programs. Even if you use GPC signals on our websites, you may still see our ads online at other sites and apps, and we may still base aspects of ads on your interactions with us and the Services.
If you opt out of email marketing, we will keep your email on our suppression list for an extended time to comply with your request. We may delete or de-identify your information sooner if we receive a verifiable deletion request, subject to exemptions under applicable law. We may retain cached or archived copies of your information.
